Who is responsible

Task Matter is operated by Matthieu Scholler. For privacy questions, access requests, corrections, or deletion requests, email hello@taskmatter.ie.

Website and early-access data

When you request early access, Task Matter stores the email address and use-case note you submit, along with submission timestamps and the number of submissions associated with that email. This information is used to manage beta access, contact you about your request, and understand who the product may help.

The hidden website field in the form is a spam check. A client IP is used temporarily for rate limiting and is also present in short-lived access logs used to protect and operate the site. Landing access logs are configured to roll off after seven days.

Early-access details are kept while beta and launch access are being managed and while they remain useful for responding to your request. You can ask for complete deletion at any time by emailing hello@taskmatter.ie with the subject “DELETE”.

Why this processing is permitted

Where a legal basis is required, Task Matter processes an early-access request to take the steps you ask for, uses limited operational data for the legitimate interests of securing and improving the service, and relies on your consent before enabling Google advertising storage. Task Matter may also process data when required to meet a legal obligation.

Analytics and advertising measurement

Task Matter uses a self-hosted Plausible Analytics service for cookieless, aggregated information about visits, such as the page, referrer, browser, device type, and country. This helps evaluate and improve the website without using an analytics cookie.

Google Ads is used to measure advertising performance. Advertising storage, ad user data, ad personalisation, and analytics storage are denied by default. If you accept advertising cookies, Google may set or use cookies and receive conversion information. If you decline, those storage permissions remain denied, although Google Consent Mode may send cookieless measurement signals.

You can change your choice at any time. Declining after a previous acceptance updates Google Consent Mode and removes Google advertising cookies that this site can access.

Task Matter product data

Task Matter stores your plan, notes, attachments, and AI threads in your browser first. They are also synced to Task Matter servers so you can recover your work and use it across devices. Task Matter is not end-to-end encrypted today.

When you ask AI for help, the request and relevant Task or Matter context are sent to the selected AI provider. Task Matter does not send your whole account with every request. Settings lets you download your current data and its change log in RDF N-Quads format. Product data is kept while your account remains active. During beta, you can request account and server-side data deletion by emailing hello@taskmatter.ie with the subject “DELETE”.

Service providers and international processing

Data is handled by the infrastructure providers needed to host Task Matter and store its data. Google processes advertising measurement data when its tag is used. Email delivery providers process contact details when Task Matter contacts you. AI providers process the scoped requests you choose to send from the product.

Some providers may process data outside your country. Their service terms and data-protection arrangements govern that processing. Task Matter does not sell your early-access or product data.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Email hello@taskmatter.ie to make a request. You may be asked for enough information to verify that the request concerns your data.
